Somewhere, Just Anywhere

The summer’s breeze cools me off
as we embark on our journey to somewhere
just anywhere
where lemonade is being sold on the side of the road
and young kids dance to the sound of the ice-cream truck
where double-dutch and hide-and-seek would become the anthem to every young child
where the smell of grandmother’s pies would linger through the lands
with streets crowded with artists and beat-boxing
dancers dancing their days away in worn high-top Converses
making sweet melodies with their feet
