The World Raced In Front of Me

I watch the world race in front of me
Life taking place
Shattered hearts being pieced together
Yearning hearts being fed
Love becoming tragedy
Lost becoming strength

I watched emptied roads becoming a playground for cars
Abandoned buildings becoming a city-wide project
Bodies being lowered into holes

I’ve seen the world race in front of me
young girls and boys becoming men and women
the yearn for lust becoming regret and misfortune

The seasons are turning
The leaves are falling
The snow had buried away those long lost days
The sun has come out to play
The plains clear themselves of a cold season
The rain comes out
The flowers grow
and this world
just seems to go and go
