Mistaken Identity: Finding Love in the Wrong Places

I’ve known women that mistook sex
lusty sex/seductive words/ and late-night conversations
for true love
But for him, she was only a burial ground
for his broken soul
Constantly resurrecting her in sinful nights
to read out to her his book of lusts
sentencing her to his playground of pain and shattered dreams
He was just open wounds bleeding internally
Suffering
Leaving remnants of himself tucked away in between her thighs
and upon pillow-tops gone empty the morning after
